Have you ever said to someone they look great and they say they had their colours done and now they feel fabulous? Compliments are a very definite welcome side-effect of colour analysis. You will find that people start telling you how well you’re looking and wondering what you're doing differently. It's up to you whether you let them in on the secret or not.
How can colour make that much difference?
Well this is a good question and one I get asked a lot. By wearing colours that create harmony and balance with your own colouring you will look healthier, more vibrant and more youthful. You will look in the mirror and see a reflection that is pleasing to you which will make you feel happier. This is not just sales speech, talk to anyone that’s had their colours done and they will tell you this is how they feel.
What are the added benefits of Colour Analysis?
Along with making you look and feel fabulous it will also make it easier for you to develop a more streamlined wardrobe, you will understand why you love wearing some or your clothes more than others. Over time you will create a wardrobe where everything works seamlessly together and it makes it easier to create a capsule wardrobe of items you will want to wear again and again in lots of different ways.
One of the issues my clients have is the confidence to choose to wear a colourful item as opposed to a black or a neutral colour. During the consultation you will actually get to see which colours look fabulous on you and you will then choose to purchase them over a dull colour on your next shopping trip.
Have you ever thought to yourself I must start wearing more colour, so just gone out and bought a bright colour top because it's not your normal black. Or have you got a lot of colourful clothes purely because they are colourful? By having a colour analysis you will ensure that all the brighter clothes you purchase are perfect for you. The idea is that you wear the colour and the colour doesn't wear you!
How it’s done.
When you come for a colour analysis I will take into account your eye colour, hair colour and complexion and will analyse your colouring. You will fall into one of 6 dominants: Warm, cool, soft, clear, deep or light. By testing colours against your own colouring it will become very obvious which colours make your eyes shine, your complexion look clearer and your hair look more vibrant. You should be wearing your colours and not your colours wearing you!
During the Consultation
The consultation is in 3 parts. Firstly the analysis, secondly I will show you how to use make-up in your best colours, whether that is just one or two products to enhance your looks or a full make-up. I will then drape you in all of your colours and we will find your WOW colours, they are the colours in your palette that suit you best. I will also show you how to wear your colours together, some colours are better worn next to the face and some are complimentary colours. I will chat to you about what you do in your day to day life and how the colours can be worn during your day.
After the Consultation
You will take away with you a swatch wallet with your 42 best colours in it so you will be able take this shopping with you and also to help you go through your wardrobe so it contains your best colours.
I am always at the end of a phone or email to answer any queries you may have, but every six months I run seasonal updates. This is a session where I will share with you which of your best colours will be in the shops over the next 6 months, either Spring/Summer or Autumn/Winter. Also what shapes and patterns to look out for. I have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked-in pages that I share lots of tips and advice about colour and style.
Having your colours done really can be life enhancing, it can lift your mood on a daily basis and make you feel more vibrant and ready to enjoy your life. But don’t take my word for it, ask someone who has had it done or read the testimonials on my website.
